I'm disciplining myself to update blog of at least once a week. Lets see how long can I go on with this arrangement heheh.

Well, it has been another busy week today. This entry somehow is not going to be on work-related or study-related matters hehe.

If there is any popularity rank, Terengganu would probably be on top this week, with so many gossips going around. I have yet to go back to my beloved KT, but according to ayah, there's probably a yellow fever going on in KT right now. (And there were rumours that the price of yellow ribbons has increased by 20% hehe!). I always have hugh respects to the Royal Families, especially the Perak legacy (love Raja Nazrin Shah to bits). And now, I am never so proud to be a Terengganuian, and to have such a wickedly brave Sultan Mizan as my king (even though I disagree with his choice). At least he dared to speak his mind, for the good of his rakyats (me included). And he won my heart by being the best Agong in history of Malaysia hehhehehehe.

DAULAT TUANKU!

HRH Al Wathiqu Billah Al Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin ibni al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud al-Muktafi Billah Shah

Spent the whole day on Pragmatics assignment. On page 5 now... need to write 10 pages. Yeah, it's just 10 pages - 10 loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong pages. It's definitely not easy to do a write up analysis on Facebook. Haha. By the time I finish this assignment, I would have been addicted to Facebook.

Perhaps I should do assignments on Podcasting next, or maybe on Youtube. Perhaps on Adobe Photoshop keygenerator crack that I need so much. And by the end of the masters programme, I would have been an Internet connoisseur. Or hacker. Haha.

I have to at least finish everything by tonight before editing + adding in some other references tomorrow morning. Need to finish this earlier since I have 86 test scripts, 86 posters and 86 assignments to mark. I promised the students their 60% carrying marks on Monday.

I'm doing pretty good balancing between being a teacher and being a student -even though it doesn't balance so well work and play department. ;p

I have no formal qualification regarding computers.

I was told about Internet once and discovered it on my own.

I created my first email without any help from others.

I used to have at least 5 main emails, but now I just concentrate on 2. or is it 3?

I created my first website with only guidelines from Internet. I did not use any book. Or tutor.

I have my own blog in 2000 (but published it in 2002).

I was willing to spend money at cybercafes just to check my mail.

My favourite Windows application is Powerpoint. I even created my own PowerPoint templates.

I am very good at drawing using Paint.

I can remove viruses manually (with instructions from the Internet)

I typed faster than I write.

I did an assignment on register for my Sociolinguistics class (undergrad) and analyse a chatroom conversation (that took place between Alert and Jazmin - now that names sound so familiar!)

I am VERY good at researching for online materials.

I can find vanished missing old friends online.

I can even find their addresss and phone numbers (without knowing how to hack).

I presented on E-learning in Malaysia in my Education & Human Development Class last semester.

I took IT in Education this semester and presented on both Internet-related materials.

My IT in Education assignment is about language and blogging.

My Practices and Reflection in TESL assignment is about CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning)

Even my Pragmatics assignment is about Facebook.

My Masters thesis proposal would also be something related to Internet medium (which I can only revealed after I got the green light)

If I ever been given opportunity to do PhD, I wanted my thesis to be on CALL-related topic.

I'm a night person, and definitely don't mind being an insomniac.

I cannot live without computer.

The longest time I have not been online since 1998 (when I first discovered Internet) was 3 weeks.

Nowadays, I'm practically living myself on the Net.

I told everyone that I am an Internet addict but nobody believed me.

Ironic.

An old man, turned 98
He won the lottery, and died the next day
It's a black fly in your chardonnay
It's a death row pardon, two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?

It's like rain, on your wedding day
It's a free ride, when you've already paid
It's the good advice, that you just didn't take
And who would've thought? It figures

Mr. Play-It-Safe, was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase, and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life, to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought, "Well isn't this nice?"
And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?

It's like rain, on your wedding day
It's a free ride, when you've already paid
It's the good advice, that you just didn't take
And who would've thought? It figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out
When you think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up in your face

A traffic jam, when you're already late
A "No smoking" sign, on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons, when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams, and then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?
A little too ironic?
Yeah I really do think

It's like rain, on your wedding day
It's a free ride, when you've already paid
It's the good advice, that you just didn't take
And who would've thought?
It figures

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
And life has a funny, funny way, of helping you out
Helping you out

- Alanis Morissette

I have always loved this song. It is true, life has a funny way of sneaking up on you. Lets just hope it also has a funny way of helping me out, too.

(Keeping my fingers crossed)

There's no use of regretting now. I created this mess and I have to settle it. I am so disorganised lately that I've started to panic. This is not the usual Miyyah that I know. I don't even know what happened to her this semester. She's lazy, she's disorganised, she's a total mess!

I haven't sleep for the past two days. Lately insomnia has become a norm. I don't even need coffee to make me stay awake the whole night. And now I'm suffering from a very terrible headache. And I felt like my eyes are popping out of my face.

How long do I have to suffer this? Another year, perhaps.

Kak Non and I were talking on the way back from our discussion at school. I told her what I had to endure this week alone.

''This is worse than breaking up." I said.

She just laugh.

Well, it wasn't supposed to be a joke.

I'm not really sure how I'm going to survive the rest of the semester. I didn't do well in most of the assignments (except for presentation as I really thought of it as my strong point) and started getting disorganised. I rushed in doing assignments, taking things for granted, last minute work etc...

I need to wake up very fast or else i would probably be left behind. Far, far behind.

March would probably be the busiest month so far. Just hope that I'll survive.
